San Francisco Transgender Film Fest at Roxie Theater


The San Francisco Transgender Film Festival screens films that promote the visibility of transgender and gender variant people and challenge the mainstream media’s negative stereotypes. Founded in 1997 and originally named Tranny Fest, SFTFF was North America’s first transgender film festival.  See details.


Robert Townsend's “Living the Shuffle” Opens at The Marsh Berkeley


Robert Townsend is an actor, writer, director, filmmaker and natural-born storyteller. His new show at The Marsh gives audiences a front row seat to his career, from the dangerous streets of Chicago to creating the breakout film, "Hollywood Shuffle," and becoming a Black film pioneer.  See more.

San Francisco Dance Film Festival


San Francisco Dance Film Festival celebrates its tenth anniversary with nine days (ending this weekend) of short films, full-length features, narratives and documentaries from local, national and international filmmakers!
