Str8Jacket and Krazy 8 at Presidio Picnic Cultural Dance: June 16


Every Sunday through October, the community gathers at the Presidio Picnic for food, fun and art, including dance performances held on the third Sunday of every month. June features Str8Jacket and its youth team, Krazy 8, in a tribute to West Coast hip hop dance forms.  See details.


Season Four at SFDanceworks: June 20-22


For its fourth season, SFDanceworks turns its gaze to 21st-century choreography with a quintuple bill of work by Alejandro Cerrudo, Olivier Wevers, Brett Conway, Laura O’Malley and Andrea Schermoly.  See details.

Shifting Time at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center: June 28-29


The approach to time in a Butoh performance is striking – transitions and movements are deliberate and unhurried; phrases unfold in purposeful slow motion.
